The EU Atomic Bomb

Have you ever had that feeling of living in a continent that is not entirely ruled by insane people? Cool, then you’re probably in Europe, in Australia or in Antarctica.

In a world full of mad autocrats it is only natural to worry about possessing the adequate defenses against a possible invasion; that’s why, sadly, the European Union has to quickly rearm. And nothing makes you more respected among apes with a slightly bigger brain than possessing the atomic bomb.

At DG MEME, we developed our own EU atomic bomb project, see the schematics below.

Basic features of the EU atomic bomb, known officially as High-Energy Yield Kinetic-Disruption Ordnance (HEY-KDO)

JRC (the Joint Research Centre) clearly and simply describes the functioning of the bomb:

The High-Energy Yield Kinetic-Disruption Ordnance (HEY-KDO) represents the apex of strategic mass-energy conversion mechanisms, wherein a subatomic reconfiguration event is initiated through the precise orchestration of fissile material compression, culminating in an expedited progression from subcritical mass to a hyper-dense supercritical configuration.

This system leverages the inherent instability of isotopically enriched heavy atomic nuclei (EUranium-235 or PlEUtonium-239) which, when subjected to an optimized neutron flux induction cascade, undergo a self-sustaining exothermic chain reaction, resulting in the instantaneous liberation of significant thermal, radiative, and kinetic energy vectors. This liberation might be fatal to any living form in a radius of 5-10km.

A peculiarity of the EU bomb, is that it generates an atomic mushroom with rainbow colors, instead of the classic grey and white, which is both colorful and socially significant, as it reminds the importance of respecting sexual minorities.

The rainbow atomic mushroom, both colorful and assertive.
